Ritualistic abstract animal forms > Avian Ancestor

Ritualistic abstract sculpture made from white earthenware. Surfaces are finished to resemble other materials like bone, wood or metal. The head is finished with gold luster and the body and stand are finished with a non-fired iron stain.

The inspiration for this piece comes from my fascination with birds as sacred symbols.
